Vico Magistretti designed the Carimate Lounge chair in 1960 as part of the furnishings for the golf club in Carimate, Lombardy. The chair, with a frame of beech wood, was produced with different manufacturers.
The design of the Carimate Lounge chair, like the armchair, is partly inspired on the Scandinavian tradition combined with the Italian traditional of a wood and rush/straw chair. The open frame structure gives the Carimate chair a strong expression. The boxy frame with curved armrests add a to the clear appeal of the chair.
This red Carimate Lounge chair is finished in RAL 9004, comes with a new rush seat and backrest and has a seating height of 32 cm.
