Baleri Italia

Founded in 1984 by Enrico Baleri and Marilisa Decimo, Baleri Italia is based in Albano S. Alessandro in Bergamo. Recognizable for its iconic red rooster logo, Baleri is renowned internationally for its elegant functional furniture designs that combine rigorous forms with a classical-contemporary style. Baleri Italia has received many awards and recognitions for their work, notably the Compasso d’Oro in 1994 for Cartoons, a room divider that has been a permanent display at the Museum of Modern Art of New York since 2001.

The Baleri Juliette chair by Hannes Wettstein is a supersleek creation seemingly made out of air and a clever idea is surprisingly comfortable. Seating system with the structure in steel rod painted with epoxy in several finishes all semi-gloss. The seat and seatback are in molded sheet metal painted to match the structure.

The Baleri PS210 is a comfortable, solid, stackable chair designed by Philippe Starck. The PS series has a chair, a small bar stool, and a large bar stool. Structure in tubular steel painted with epoxy powders in metallic silver. The seat is in latex rubber and black polypropylene straps.

The Francesca Spanish chair, designed by Philippe Starck in 1979 is one of the early works by Starck for Baleri Italia. The chairs are called 'Francesca Spanish' after a character in the novel that inspired Starck very much at that time, called ‘Ubik’ by Philip K. Dick. Cult chairs with very nice minimal appearances.
