Radboud van Beekum (1950-2020)

Radboud van Beekum (Rijswijk The Netherlands, 1950) graduated in architectural design at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam in 1977, he focused on furniture. During this period he designed the cube chair, in production by Pastoe from 1981. A re-designed model of this design classic was introduced in 2000.

Raak C-1673 Wall lamp

The original FM60 cube chair was introduced in 1980 during the Triennale in Poznan, Poland. Initially, it was a flatpack, epoxied frame with canvas seating in white, grey, and black. From 1983 the FM61 in colored plywood and FM62 in saddle leather appeared, delivered assembled.

Raak C.1673 designed by Radboud van Beekum is an adjustable metal wall lamp with silver enamel painted hood for either on the wall or on the ceiling. Raak was a Dutch lighting company making high-quality lighting products for all types of interiors. Their designs were always minimal very well made and effective for the spaces they lighted.
