DK42 is designed at NLStudio and is made out of reclaimed wood. It's name DK42, refers to the Dutch "dekenkist" which in English means "blanket chest". The number 42 refers to the width of 42cm. Blankets can be storred folded into the chest as Apart from storage, the DK42 also can be used as a hocker.
We prefer the use of reclaimed materials as there already is far too much waste in the world, especially in manufacturing of new products. That is why we want to give the precious materials such as wood a second, third or maybe even fourth life.
