Vico Magistretti designed the Carimate bench in 1960 as part of the furnishings for the golf club in Carimate, Lombardy. The chair, with a frame of beech wood, produced with different manufacturers.

The design of the Carimate bench, like the armchair and Lounge chair, is partly inspired on the Scandinavian tradition combined with the Italian traditional of a wood and rush/straw seat. The open frame structure gives the Carimate chair a strong expression. The square shapped frame with curved armrests add a to the clear appeal of the chair.

This red Carimate bench is finished in red, RAL 3000, comes with a new natural rush seat and has a seating height of 45 cm.
